Michel Roudnitska

Perfumer of the heart

Since its early childhood, Michel was immersed in the world of perfumery. For 10 years, Edmond Roudnitska, his father and the creator Eau Sauvage by Dior, taught Michel the knowledge of aromatic raw materials and the Art of composing perfumes. In order to better promote the artistic dimension of perfumes, Michel has focused on the concept of Parfum d'auteur (Perfume as an art), solely working with niche brands. He has combined both his creative passions of image and perfumes and was the pioneer of olfactory shows starting in 1996 at the Festival of Avignon with The Quintessences Ballet. Over the last 7 years, he has delved into the spiritual and therapeutic dimension of perfumes, training as an olfactory therapist and working with Amerindian shamans. This led him to collaborate with NGOs to support the indian communities of Peruvian Amazonia and to be initiated to the ancestral traditions of these populations while discovering the plants associated to their rituals. The essential oils derived from these plants are now incorporated to his perfumes creations and shows.
